Idea for the Start of a ShowPosted: 14 December 2012
The team emerges from the wings, dressed in office attire, holding files, moving stiffly with glazed eyes and bored expressions.
They take up position together at the front of the stage as if standing for a corporate photograph. They hold this pose for a second or two.
Then, slowly, the eyes come to life, the audience is acknowledged. Mischievous smiles emerge. The knees unlock and the shoulders open. The men unpop their top buttons and loosen their ties; the women let their hair down. Files and jackets are discarded, as is the grown-up pretence. The team is gradually transformed into a group of lively, watchful, breathing, happy children.
