What Does ‘Epic’ Mean, Michael?

I’m mad about Lindsay Anderson’s films, particularly his sprawling 1973 epic, O Lucky Man!

Here’s a clip of Malcolm McDowell talking about the title and explaining the distinction between the ‘mini’ and the ‘epic’ – from Never Apologize (2007).

This really crystalizes my thinking about the kind of performance I’m interested in.
